ExperienceI have been tutoring math and science since I was an undergraduate at Howard University. I continued tutoring math on a freelance basis while I attended graduate school at Marymount University and have since graduated from the School of Medicine at the University of Louisville. I have tutored high school and college students both on-campus and in-home in a variety of math subjects, including algebra, linear algebra, calculus, multivariable calculus, geometry, statistics, and trigonometry. I am also available to tutor science subjects like anatomy, biology, chemistry, and physiology. I can help students prepare for many standardized tests as well, including ACT, COMPASS, GRE, SAT, SSAT, and AP exams. Since the amount of information tutors and students need to cover can seem intimidating, I believe in teaching students to work toward understanding the concepts. Memorization is important, but when students truly understand the "how?" and "why?", they are able to apply the concept in a multitude of situations. I especially enjoy helping students conquer their math challenges, because I understand being challenged by math! When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy traveling, hiking, listening to music, and watching sports.
HobbiesI enjoy traveling, walking in Stone Mountain Park, interior design, watching sports, and zoning out with a good playlist.
